Two products can look the same, with the same values and claims on their datasheets. Behind them, the components, the materials and the work that went into them can be very different. Where products are chosen, that difference rarely shows.
Our mission is to make it easier for manufacturers to show the work behind their products, and for specifiers to tell a quality product from its look-alike. We independently review the evidence behind luminaires and show each key value with what it is based on.

Why Complite exists.
I'm an electrical engineer with years of lighting compliance work: lighting design, laboratory testing, technical product support and product compliance.
In every role I saw the same thing. Manufacturers did careful quality work, but the evidence sat scattered across documents, organisations and disciplines. Where products were chosen, none of it showed. It frustrated me that a product with solid evidence looked the same as one with none.
Over the years, Complite has grown from compliance consulting for luminaire manufacturers into an independent review of the evidence behind their products.
This allows us to make the work behind a product visible, value by value, to the people who rely on it.

How we work.
The evidence, not the marketing
We read test reports, certificates, declarations and the technical file. A claim counts as far as its evidence goes.
Read by someone who knows it
Every review is done by an expert who has read luminaire test reports, certificates and technical files for years.
Paid for the review, not the pass
Manufacturers pay for the review, whatever it finds. What is needed stays private, and only Verified families can be published.
The basis, not a score
Each key value is shown with what it is based on. There is no score, grade or mark.
Verification day is the start.
Over time, we are building toward product evidence that keeps growing after verification day: new tests and certificates, changes in standards and regulation, repair data and how the product performs in use.
Each addition builds on the verified base, so what is known about a product becomes more accurate across its whole life.
